Our Team

Dr Philip Wharton started his dental career in Loughborough 35 years ago as a dental technician. Upon qualifying he further specialised in orthodontic technology. This enhanced his clinical knowledge and skills which resulted in him being accepted at the Turner Dental School, Manchester University and ultimately graduating with a prestigious prize in Operative Dentistry.

Since graduating, Phil has worked in local practices and during this time has proactively continued his professional development. In 2008 he gained the skills required to restore implants and has been doing implant work since then. In addition, he has successfully achieved qualifications in periodontal surgery.

More recently he has qualified as a dentolegal expert witness and is always keen to put what he has learned from this into practice to ensure the highest standards of dental care are consistently provided.

Phil is committed to lifelong learning and is now starting to pursue a special interest in endodontics which has led to him embarking on further study.

In his spare time, when not running, swimming, or cycling he is an enthusiastic gardener and photographer. His photography has been previously published in Leicestershire and Rutland Life Magazine.
